A new high.

The Ohio River's highest flood stage since 1997.

Although the rapid rise of the floodwaters can be dangerous, we can’t help but admire the powerful and dynamic nature of the river as it rises, falls, and flows season after season.

On Tuesday February 18th, the Ohio River once again flexed it's muscles as the river stage rose to 55.5 feet. While the moderate flood stage is 56 feet, it was enough to force BB Riverboats out of our headquarters at the River's Edge.

One of the benefits of having a floating facility is our ability to stay firmly anchored to our beloved Kentucky with minimal damage. Clean up, however, is a different story!

Here’s an even closer look at the most recent flooding we experienced on the Ohio River this past February.

Thank you Newport!

Thank you again to our city responders in Newport, Kentucky for putting up the barricades to keep us from wearily traveling down flooded roads and for modern marvels like our floodwalls, levees, and even water pumps for doing their best to keep the water at bay!
